Creating Psychologically Safe and Healthy Workplaces in the United States and Canada

Mental health in the workplace matters. On World Mental Health Day, join this webcast to learn more about how U.S. and Canadian employers are building psychologically healthy workplaces.

In this webcast, participants will explore the link between healthy workplace practices, employee well-being and organizational performance. Discussion will include the types of practices that foster a healthy workplace, key factors that can increase the likelihood of positive outcomes and strategies for addressing barriers to successful implementation.

This discussion will also explore the similarities and differences between Canada and the U.S., including the effect of differences in health care systems and the implications those differences have on workplace strategies.

Webcast runs from 3-4:30 p.m. ET.

Speakers are David W. Ballard, PsyD, MBA, who leads APA’s Center for Organizational Excellence; and Laura Pratt, national practice leader, organizational health, at Great-West Life in Toronto, Ontario.

The webcast is hosted by International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, a nonprofit organization that provides the employee benefits community with objective, solution-oriented education, research and information.
