We Still Want to Know Why You Love Your Job

In February, we launched a month-long I Love My Job campaign to highlight the positive aspects of work and the response was so overwhelming that we decided to continue our efforts.

Each month, we highlight submissions on our social media pages and recognize the person who submits our favorite entry with some special treats to share with his or her co-workers.

Here are our favorite submissions from April and May. Keep 'em coming!

Stacy Freeborg-Junge from HealthFitness in Minneapolis, MN said an environment that promotes good health and work-life balance is key. Here's what she had to say...

I work in an environment that supports me to be physically active during work hours. We have treadmill workstations and I love using them. We also have an on-site gym, which I use frequently. I work full-time and have a young son. Fitting in exercise can be difficult, but my employer supports me to be healthy and active on company time.

Dallas Schmidt, a manager at Blick Art Materials in Edina, MN raved about a culture that respects individuality…

I have my degree in studio art, I'm an artist, and I love art supplies, and this is why I work at an art supply store. My co-workers are all very unique and bring a different balance of knowledge to the store. We are able to dress in our own unique ways (while still being professional). Our bosses are very easy to talk to, treat us with respect and want us to speak up when we have an idea to share. I am able to be me.

What do you love about your job? Making a difference, working with fantastic colleagues, feeling proud of the company you work for, having great benefits, something else? Let us know.
