Focuses on the issue of happiness at work. The author gives examples of positive management practices and policies used to make employees happier and healthier. Improving intrinsic motivation will increase an employee’s well-being. People should look for the following in order to be more satisfied with work: (1) clear goals, (2) autonomy, (3) sufficient resources, (4) help or support, (5) formal mechanisms to learn from mistakes, (6) an organization’s openness to new ideas, and (7) enough time to achieve the goals.
