Summary

Focuses on the issue of employee involvement. The author states that executives often overlook the measurement of human capital. What started as a trend to achieve higher levels of employee satisfaction and engagement is now starting to transform into a trend to achieve higher levels of employee involvement. A high involvement culture is created by: (1) providing a sense of direction to employees, (2) building transparency, and (3) providing employees with sufficient opportunities for involvement.
